Are you thinking about becoming Catholic? Or maybe you're an adult Catholic who never received Confirmation or your first Communion. You've come to the right place!
RCIA is the process for those becoming Catholic (or thinking about it), as well as for adult Catholics, to take the next steps towards receiving the sacraments of initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. The RCIA journey has several stages that, over a suitable period of time, bring about a thorough catechesis [learning the Catholic Faith and the teachings of the Catholic Church], significant experience of the parish community, and commitment to the liturgical and moral life of a faithful Catholic Christian.
RCIA is geared towards:
- adults in need of baptism
- adults already baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic
- adults already baptized Catholic but still in need of First Communion and/or Confirmation
In the past, we would meet Mondays from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the large conference room located on the 1st floor of the Msgr. Champagne Complex, but our RCIA coordinator is open to discussing what day and time works best for the group. Please call the church office if you are interested in RCIA, and they will direct you. Welcome to this important next step in your walk with Jesus Christ!
